At The Rural Art, every piece of furniture is crafted with the utmost care, using premium solid wood and time-honored artisan techniques. We stand behind the quality and craftsmanship of our products. However, we understand that sometimes a return may be necessary.
Please read our return policy carefully to understand your rights and responsibilities as a customer.

Eligibility for Returns

We offer a 365-day return window on standard (ready-to-ship) furniture under the following conditions

  • The item must be a standard product, not made-to-order or custom.
  • The product must be unused, with no signs of wear, damage, or assembly.
  • The item must be returned in its original packaging, including all protective materials, hardware, and documentation.
  • Returns will not be accepted if the original packaging is opened, torn, missing, or if the product shows any signs of use or handling.

Important : Custom, personalized, or made-to-order products cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances, as they are built specifically to your requirements.

Return Request Procedure
  • To initiate a return Contact us at info@theruralart.com within 365 days of receiving the product. 
  • Provide your order number, details of the product, and clear photos showing the condition of the item and packaging.
  • Our support team will review the request and provide written confirmation and further instructions if the return is approved.
  • Items must be returned within 365 days of return approval.
Note: Unauthorized returns or items sent back without our written approval will not be accepted and will be returned to the sender at their expense.

Return Shipping
Customers are responsible for all return shipping costs, unless the return is due to an error on our part (e.g., wrong item sent).
We recommend using a reputable, trackable shipping service and insuring the package, as we are not liable for lost or damaged return shipments.

Restocking Fee : A 25% restocking fee will be applied to all eligible returns. This fee covers handling, inspection, repackaging, and administrative costs associated with processing the return.

Non-Returnable Items : The following products are not eligible for return:
  • Made-to-order or custom-designed furniture
  • Any item that has been assembled, used, or modified
  • Items returned without original packaging
  • Sale or clearance items marked as “final sale”
  • Products returned after 365 days of delivery
Condition of Returned Items :  Returned products are inspected upon arrival:

If the item is received in used, damaged, or incomplete condition, the return will be declined.

In such cases, the customer may choose to have the item shipped back to them at their own cost.

Refund Policy
At The Rural Art, we are committed to delivering premium, handcrafted solid wood furniture made with care and precision. While we take every precaution to ensure product quality, certain conditions may warrant a refund or return. Please carefully review the terms of our Refund Policy below.
1. Refunds & Replacements for Damaged or Incorrect Products
We conduct thorough quality checks before dispatch. However, in the rare event that you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrectly delivered product, please note the following:
Eligibility Criteria:

  • You must report the issue within 48 hours of delivery by emailing info@theruralart.com.
  • Your claim must include:
  • A detailed description of the issue
  • Clear, time-stamped photographs or videos taken at the time of delivery, showing the damage and original packaging
  • Claims without adequate visual proof or submitted after 48 hours will not be accepted.
Resolution Process:
  • If the issue is verified and approved at our sole discretion, we may offer:
  • replacement of the affected product, or
  • refund of the product’s value (excluding shipping/customization charges)
  • The item must be returned unused and in its original packaging.
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
  • Products damaged during return transit due to poor packaging will not be eligible for refund or replacement.
Final Note:
The Rural Art reserves the right to deny any return that does not meet the above criteria. This policy is designed to maintain fairness, transparency, and sustainability while protecting the integrity of our handcrafted furniture.
