When you make a purchase on the Website, any credit card information you provide as part of your payment information is collected and processed directly by our payment processor. We at no time receive or store your full credit card information.

If you are a California resident, California law may provide you with additional rights regarding our use of your personal information.The CCPA provides consumers (California residents) with specific rights regarding their personal information. This section describes your CCPA rights and explains how to exercise those rights. You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collection and use of your personal information over the past 12 months (the "right to know"). Once we receive your request and confirm your identity, we will disclose to you the specific information we collected, categories and sources of personal information we collect from you, business purpose for collection of information and categories of businesses that we shared this information with. You have the right to request that we delete any of your personal information that we collected from you and retained, subject to certain exceptions (the "right to delete"). Once we receive your request and confirm your identity, we will review your request to see if an exception allowing us to retain the information applies. We may deny your deletion request if retaining the information is necessary for us or our service provider.

California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of our website that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. However, please know we do not currently sell data triggering that statute’s opt-out requirements.

Your Nevada Privacy Rights

Nevada residents who wish to exercise their sale opt-out rights under Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A may submit a request to this designated info@theruralart.com.  However, please know we do not currently sell data triggering that statute’s opt-out requirements. 

Email & Communication Channels Policies 

If you contact us through communication features such as email, contact forms, live chat, chatbots, videos and text message services (“Communication Chanels”), we may record, collect and retain the content of your messages, your contact information, and our responses. We do not sell, rent, or lease your information to third parties except as allowed in this Privacy Policy. We will maintain the information you send via email in accordance with applicable federal law.  Please do not send confidential or sensitive personal information via our Communication Channels. In compliance with the CAN-SPAM Act, all emails sent will include clear identification and unsubscribe instructions.  Some Communication Channels may be operated by third parties and by using these tools you agree to their terms and privacy policies as well.

Email Communications

We may send order confirmations, shipping updates, customer service communications, promotional emails, abandoned cart reminders and marketing communications. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link or contacting us directly. Transactional emails related to active purchases may still be sent.

SMS/Mobile Text Messages 

If you sign up to receive sms/mobile text messages from us, we will collect and store your mobile number and any information you share in your replies.  By providing your phone number and opting in where required, you consent to receive order updates, delivery coordination messages, customer support communications, abandoned cart reminders and promotional SMS marketing messages.  You can opt out at any time by replying STOP.  We store text message records for customer service, legal compliance and to keep track of opt-outs.  We may use third party messaging providers to send and manage these messages on our behalf. For Texas Residents, if you are located in Texas, we maintain records of your consent and follow all Texas texting requirements, including honoring opt-outs and following specific sending time rules.

We do our best to protect your personal information but we cannot guarantee perfect security.
